Hundreds of people gathered at Movies@ Hemingways in East London on Tuesday evening to watch the much anticipated EL based film, Knuckle City.
Written by acclaimed South African director, the film explores the psychology of a fighter from Mdantsane and gives a glimpse into the street life of one if SA's largest and oldest townships.
Knuckle City is Qubeka's fourth feature film but the that is set on his home turf. SA actor Bongile Mantsai plays the role of Dudu Nyakama, who is a down-and-out a d ageing boxer struggling to attain the one fight he believes will uplift him.
Among those is attendance is premier Lubabalo Mabuyane.
