Evangelist Hinn back in city to bring healing and hope

International evangelist Benny Hinn will be in East London this week for two nights of “signs, wonders and healing”.

Hinn will be at River Ministries tomorrow and Friday.

Media director Dr Waldo Malan said they were honoured to be hosting Hinn for his South African tour.

Today, Hinn will be preaching in Johannesburg. He will also visit Limpopo and Durban.

Malan said people around the globe know Hinn as a noted evangelist, teacher and author of many best-selling books which include Prayer that gets results, Lamb of God and Good Morning, Holy Spirit.

“His TV programme This is your Day is among the world’s most watched Christian programmes,” he said.

Hinn is no stranger to East London as he has made numerous visits to the city over the years.

In 2014, he was one of the ministers who supported the River Ministries fundraising initiative for their dome.

Malan said Hinn’s ministry engaged in crisis relief, children’s homes, feeding programmes, and hospital and emergency care.

“During the past year alone, not only did his ministry help provide food, clothing, shelter, education, and religious training for 46368 children around the globe, but it also continues to underwrite the free care expenses of such powerful outreaches as a hospital in Calcutta, India, where over 200000 patients are treated annually, and My Father’s House children’s homes in Mexico and the Philippines.”

General tickets for the crusade cost R50 and preferred seats cost R200. Tickets are available from Computicket. The event will be broadcast live on Faith Broadcasting Network from 7pm to 9pm on both days. — poliswap@dispatch.co.za
