An East Cape farmer was given a pounding and left for dead near his farm on the East Coast Resort road this morning.
An unknown number of suspects then sped off with Schafli Road farmer Brian Ristow's Isuzu bakkie with the number plates FWJ 103 EC.
East London Police spokeswoman said the Blue Water Police were at the scene.
"We will release a statement regarding the incident later on as police are still at the scene. The incident happened and no one has been arrested at the moment." Said East London police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala.
She said details were still sketchy.
Appeals have been made online for anyone who spots the vehicle to contact the authorities.
