An Eastern Cape man who shot and killed his wife two weeks ago, has died.
Mziyanda Mqingwana died in hospital on Saturday, the day his wife, Nomahomba Tsako was buried.
He succumbed to injuries he sustained when he turned the gun on himself after shooting and killing his wife.
Mziyanda had been under police guard at Frere Hospital since the day he killed his wife and injured himself.
He had been in the hospital's intensive care unit since then.
His wife, Nomahomba Tsako, died at the couple's home moments after she was shot.
