WATCH | Woman shot during protest in Middledrift

A 38-year-old woman was shot twice allegedly by police in Middledrift in the Eastern Cape.
This follows a protest by community members over bad roads and lack of water in some villages.
Zimkhitha Ntsangani said she went to the taxi rank for transport to work.  This is where the protesters had gathered.
“Police arrived and I was shot on the buttocks and thigh. I was then arrested for public violence," she said.
The Middledrift Magistrate’s Court postponed her case to June 19 for further investigation.
This is a developing story...
