East London policeman killed on duty, suspect shot by colleagues

The body of a slain Cambridge police sergeant was lying on the street on a Cambridge location by mid-afternoon on Friday.
Hundreds of residents attending a police and public forum meeting to discuss high crime levels were horrified after the sergeant left the meeting to attend to a commotion outside.
He was stabbed to death on the streets over 100m away. Early reports from the scene were that a suspect had beheaded a dog in the midst of what was said to be a robbery.
A good Samaritan intervened and was stabbed and was hospitalised.
Police responding to the attack of their fellow policeman apparently shot the suspect multiple times in the lower body.
The suspect is now in hospital.
About 20 police vehicles are on the scene surrounded by about 150 people, many commenting about crime...
