The man accused of killing Wits University student Asithandile Zozo has elected to abandon bail.
Viwe Rulumeni appeared in the Dutywa magistrate’s court on Wednesday where his bail application was to be heard.
The state revealed it was ready to proceed with the hearing. However, Rulumeni said he was abandoning bail.
Magistrate Sivuyile Dyongosi postponed the case to October 6 for further investigation.
