ANC member of parliament (MP) and the party's Dr WB Rubusana regional executive leader Princess Faku had a near death experience when her vehicle caught fire and burnt to ashes while she was driving on the R72 road between East London and Port Alfred.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening, while Faku was travelling for a long weekend outing with her family. No one was injured during the inferno, but Faku's vehicle was completely burnt out.
