WATCH | ANC supporters disrupt BCM council meeting calling for councillor's immediate removal

Disgruntled ANC members and supporters disrupted a Buffalo City Metro council meeting on Wednesday calling for the removal of ward 20 councillor Ntombizodwa Gamnca.
They started chanting during a heated debate over the Municipal Public Accounts Committee’s 2017-2018 annual report.
On Tuesday the Dispatch reported that the ANC provincial executive committee had suspended Gamnca following fraud and corruption allegations made against her by Mdantsane residents.
The residents accuse her of illegally selling houses in the township. The protesters chanted in the gallery accusing Gamnca of being a liar and a thief.
The protesters are calling for Gamnca, in attendance at the council meeting, to remove herself.
ANC provincial secretary Lulama Ngcukayitobi today said: “The ANC will proceed with its disciplinary processes as planned. Ncedo Kumbaca [who will be acting in Gamnca’s position during the disciplinary processes] is the servant of the people in the name of the ANC. The council will process that.”..
