Despite facing a funding crisis after the refusal of the Buffalo City Metro to support his tournament, Ayanda Matiti has vowed to continue with his blockbuster show scheduled to be held at Mdantsane Indoor Centre tomorrow.

Matiti, who trades under Xaba Promotions and Events, is currently embroiled in a court battle with BCM over his exclusion from the financial windfall handed to other promoters in the region.

Matiti was surprisingly omitted from the four promoters who each received R800000 funding despite his proven record of organising thrilling tournaments which constantly attract national television coverage.

Due to his boxing explosive shows Matiti has now been nominated for the promoter of the year in the national boxing awards scheduled to be held in January.
