23-year-old arrested over father's death

A 23-year-old man was on Monday arrested over the alleged murder of his 48-year-old father over the weekend.
SAPS spokesman Captain Jackson Manatha said: “Willowvale police arrested a 23-year-old man for [the] alleged murder of his father. The suspect was arrested on Monday, December 3 at about 8pm at Mandluntsha locality, Mboya village, Willowvale.
"It is alleged that the suspect had a quarrel with his father on Sunday, December 2 at about 5.30pm. The father was allegedly stabbed on his upper body. He [the father] ran into the nearby bushes. The crime was not reported to the Willowvale police,” he said.
Manatha added that when members of the community decided to go looking for the missing father, they found him dead.
“The case was then reported to the Willowvale police on Monday, December 3. Willowvale police acted swiftly as they traced and arrested the suspect.”Manatha said that the motive for the killing is unclear.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, facing a charge of murder...
